Choose donation destinations and recycling options before the final week. Separate items that require special disposal. Schedule large-item pickups early if local services require appointments.

Measure the new home and map where large furniture would go. If a piece is worn, difficult to move, too large, or has no clear destination, compare selling or donating it with paying to transport it.
