Welcome to Maat Movers. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Maat Movers website, platform, marketplace, and related services. By accessing or using Maat Movers, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use and any applicable laws and regulations.

Maat Movers is a global moving network and classified advertising marketplace that allows independent moving companies and moving service providers to advertise their services and allows customers to discover and contact moving providers.

1. Marketplace Role

Maat Movers operates as a technology and advertising platform that facilitates connections between customers and independent moving companies and service providers.

Maat Movers does not directly provide moving, transportation, packing, loading, unloading, storage, relocation, or other moving services unless expressly stated otherwise on the platform.

Moving companies and service providers listed on Maat Movers are independent businesses or independent service providers. They are not employees, agents, partners, joint ventures, or representatives of Maat Movers solely by virtue of being listed on the platform.

2. Moving Company Listings

Maat Movers allows moving companies and independent moving providers to create and publish classified advertisements for their services.

Movers are responsible for ensuring that all information contained in their listings is accurate, current, complete, and not misleading. This may include business information, contact information, service areas, descriptions, pricing, availability, qualifications, and other information presented to customers.

Maat Movers reserves the right to remove, modify, restrict, suspend, or reject listings that violate these Terms of Use, applicable law, or our platform policies.

3. Responsibility of Movers

Each moving company or service provider is solely responsible for the services it provides to customers.

Movers are responsible for maintaining all licenses, permits, registrations, insurance, certifications, equipment, vehicles, and other requirements applicable to their business and the services they provide.

Movers are also responsible for complying with all federal, state, provincial, territorial, local, and international laws and regulations applicable to their operations.

4. Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for evaluating and selecting moving companies based on their own needs and circumstances.

Customers should communicate directly with moving providers regarding pricing, availability, services, insurance, licensing, contracts, cancellation policies, delivery dates, claims procedures, and any other terms associated with a move.

Maat Movers encourages customers to independently verify the qualifications, licensing, insurance, reputation, and other credentials of any moving company before entering into an agreement or making a payment.

5. Agreements Between Customers and Movers

Any agreement, transaction, contract, payment arrangement, or service relationship formed between a customer and a moving company is between those parties.

Maat Movers is not a party to agreements between customers and movers unless expressly stated otherwise. The terms of a moving service, including pricing, scheduling, transportation, delivery, cancellation, damage claims, refunds, and other obligations, should be agreed upon directly between the customer and the moving provider.

6. Pricing and Payments

Prices, estimates, quotes, deposits, fees, and other charges associated with moving services are determined by individual moving companies unless otherwise expressly stated by Maat Movers.

Customers should obtain and review all applicable pricing and service terms directly from the moving provider before agreeing to a move.

Maat Movers does not guarantee that a listed price is the final price a customer will pay for moving services.

7. Accuracy of Information

Maat Movers strives to provide a useful and reliable marketplace; however, we do not guarantee that every listing, advertisement, description, photograph, price, review, availability statement, business detail, or other information published by a third party is accurate, complete, current, or error-free.

Information submitted by movers is the responsibility of the mover who submitted it.

8. Prohibited Listings and Conduct

Users may not use Maat Movers to publish fraudulent, deceptive, unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, or misleading content.

Listings may not contain false business information, fraudulent offers, misleading pricing, unauthorized use of another company's identity, illegal services, malicious software, or content that violates applicable laws or the rights of others.

Users may not attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the Maat Movers platform, scrape or abuse platform data, impersonate another person or business, or use the platform for unlawful purposes.

9. International Marketplace

Maat Movers is intended to serve a global moving community. Our network currently includes classified moving advertisements from providers serving customers in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa.

Because laws and requirements relating to moving, transportation, insurance, employment, advertising, and consumer protection vary between countries and jurisdictions, each mover is responsible for understanding and complying with the laws applicable to its business and services.

10. No Guarantee or Endorsement

The appearance of a moving company or service provider on Maat Movers does not necessarily constitute an endorsement, certification, recommendation, or guarantee by Maat Movers.

Maat Movers does not guarantee the quality, safety, reliability, legality, availability, pricing, timeliness, or performance of any third-party moving company or service provider.

11. User Communications

Users may communicate with moving companies through contact information or communication features made available through the platform.

Users are responsible for their communications and interactions with other users. Maat Movers is not responsible for disputes, misunderstandings, representations, promises, or agreements made between users.

12. Reviews and User-Generated Content

If Maat Movers permits users to submit reviews, ratings, photographs, comments, or other content, users are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are truthful, lawful, and based on their genuine experiences.

Users may not submit fake reviews, manipulate ratings, impersonate other individuals, or intentionally publish misleading information about a business or individual.

13. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the Maat Movers name, branding, logos, website design, platform features, graphics, text, software, and other original materials provided by Maat Movers are owned by or licensed to Maat Movers and may be protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Users may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit Maat Movers materials without appropriate authorization.

14. Account Suspension and Removal

Maat Movers may suspend, restrict, or terminate an account or remove a listing when we believe that a user has violated these Terms of Use, applicable law, or platform policies, or when necessary to protect the platform, users, or the public.

15. Limitation of Responsibility

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Maat Movers is not responsible for losses, damages, delays, injuries, property damage, disputes, fraudulent activity, service failures, missed appointments, pricing disputes, moving claims, or other issues arising from interactions or transactions between customers and independent moving providers.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

16. Third-Party Services and Websites

Maat Movers may contain links, advertisements, integrations, or references to third-party websites, businesses, services, or resources. Maat Movers does not control third-party websites or services and is not responsible for their content, availability, policies, products, or services.

17. Changes to These Terms

Maat Movers may update these Terms of Use from time to time as the platform develops, expands into additional markets, or as legal and regulatory requirements change.

Updated Terms may be posted on this page. Continued use of Maat Movers after changes become effective may constitute acceptance of the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
